the beauty of imperfection.

maybe its the juxtaposition of what's going on- the things placed together that really shouldn't be there.....they just equal perfection in my book. the white dress w/ the rain boots, that elegant kitchen w/ stainless steel cabinets (might be my favorite kitchen), the old medicine cabinet with the addition of jadeite pulls, and that screen- well, it's just amazing. period. they all make a space seem perfectly imperfect. and that's the way i like it.

a color that POPS.

sorry i have been mia...i went home for a house warming party for my brother. it was a blast and hopefully i can share pictures of his place soon. he lives in a cabin that my dad built and they just completed an addition (a bathroom and a laundry room...a must in any home). in addition to the party, i was able to get together with my BFF's for a night on the town (it's a rarity to all be together and no one be pregnant, so we took advantage). and i made a super quick trip to atlanta to help a friend w/ her house...she moved into her husband's "bachelor pad" (think GA bulldogs everywhere) when they got married and a year and half later, there is still very little of her stuff moved in....she loves turquoise and we used that as an inspiration when we shopped. so that is what i have been doing...now off to catch up, i have tons of stuff to do. happy tues!!

man, i love that sheer roman shade...so simple yet it looks amazing and how pretty is it w/ the light shining through....making a mental note in my head of this: great custom window treatment/ doesn't break the bank.

hey guys....it's been awhile.  okay maybe like 4.5 months.  i got lame or lazy....whichever you prefer.  i finally got my camera fixed so i decided to take some shots around the house (when i clean my kitchen, i'll do another post).  i hope y'all are doing wonderful.  luke wanted to say hello...he's super big now, basically full grown...and we l o v e him.  btw, i've got two things you need to check out: #1 serial; i was obsessed with it.  #2 the new basement tapes.  see y'all soon!!

y'all i have been obsessed w/ the book me before you....the dog whined at 3:00 AM to go out and when i got back into bed, i glanced at my iPad and immediately started reading again....i'm dying to finish it.  i just want to know what happens.....
on another note, i'm trying to run again.  i've gotten out of the habit and boy is it hard to get back into it.  especially w/ the weather being so hot.  however, once i downloaded this song, i could run my heart out....well, ok let's get real....maybe 2 miles ;)

have y'all read "what alice forgot"....LOVED it.  i'm dying for another book like that....fill free to give me suggestions.
shovels and rope "the devil is all around" is the best song ever. (i know i say this often, but really, it's flipping great...and they are charleston peeps so that is an added bonus)....looking for new bands, fill free to suggest!
this app is so good and so easy!!!  if you're looking for something for a friday night, this is my go-to!
lastly, i tried stitch fix....my first box wasn't the best....but i'm giving it another try....have y'all done this?!!
